    Honey Wheat Bread

So today, I’m making Homestyle Beef Stew…a little differently than usual, but I’ll get to that later. I also whipped up this loaf of Honey Wheat Bread, from my “The Fields are Ripe for Harvest”  Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church 1998 Cookbook (wow, that was a mouthful).  This little cookbook from Hackett, Arkansas is special [...]

    About the Recipes

Hi there! I'm Jess. Some of you may be friends of mine or family, in which case some of the recipes found on this site were contributed by you. Other recipes on this site I've pulled from various cookbooks, magazines and the back of boxes or cans. I am a collector of recipes. I do not claim to create orginals so much as tweak those with the groundwork already laid. I have been storing up recipes the way a squirrel might do with his nuts since I was about 14. This blog or cookbook is my way of organizing all of those recipes that have become my dearest and most favorite. I hope you enjoy the recipes as much as I do and if you have one to contribute, I would be more than happy to give it a try!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Duos

Its Sunday morning, and its raining outside…and I woke up dreaming about these cookies. Corn & Crab Chowder

This is a really yummy chowder recipe, I believe I found in one of my Rachel Ray Cookbooks. One of my older daughter really loves it and asks for it often.  The kids like the soup in the bread bowl.  The trick isn’t to cut out all the bread, instead mash it down and up [...]
